1. Credit card
At Imperial Riding, you can easily and securely pay by card. We accept MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. We will send you a confirmation when your order has left our warehouse. Your card will not be charged until your order has left our warehouse. Your card information is encrypted in our system using SSL technology. This high standard of security means shopping with a card on www.imperialriding.com is safe and secure, and ensures that your data will under no circumstances be accessible by third parties. More information about security can be found in our privacy statement.
Extra security for credit card payments: 3D Secure for Visa and MasterCard
To ensure that your online credit card payment is as secure as possible, we use Verified by Visa and MasterCard® SecureCode™, internationally recognized authentication technology collectively known as 3D Secure. 3D Secure protects your credit cards against unauthorized use to minimize the risk of online credit card fraud.
If your card issuer participates in this program, you will be asked to enter an additional password to confirm your identity as the rightful cardholder. After entering your card details and submitting your order, you will be redirected to a page hosted by your card issuer where you can enter your password. If you are not yet registered for 3D Secure, you can do so free of charge in just a few steps during the online order process or contact your card issuer directly to register. Alternatively, you can select a different payment type. The password you select during the registration process is only known by you and your card issuer and is requested with every purchase.
What is the CSV/CVV security code?
The security code consists of the last 3 digits printed over the top of the signature field on the back of your MasterCard or VISA card. On American Express cards, the 4-digit security code is printed on the front of the card, to the right above your card number.
2. Paypal
At Imperial Riding you also have the option to pay via PayPal, and can do so, without even creating a PayPal customer account. In order to do this, select PayPal as your preferred payment method during checkout, and at the end of the ordering process you will be directed to PayPal. If you are already a PayPal customer, you can log in with your user data and confirm the payment. However, if you are new to PayPal and would prefer not to create an account, then simply select the option ‘Don’t have a PayPal account?’ (highlighted below) and you can confirm the payment as a PayPal guest. Once the incoming payment is registered with us, your order will be processed. PayPal payments are usually confirmed within a few minutes.
If you return any goods, the amount will be credited to your PayPal account. You can then choose if you want to use the funds through your PayPal account directly, or wish to transfer the amount back to your bank or credit card account. We have no control over this, but you can manage it directly using your PayPal account.
3. Pay after delivery
Klarna is a payment service provider, from Sweden, who take end-to-end responsibility for your payment. They support 60 million consumers worldwide in over 70,000 online stores and are very safe to use.
If you have chosen to Pay After Delivery (with a 14 or 30 day grace period), Klarna will send you an email with further details on how to pay. Your email will contain a link to Klarna where you can settle your payment with your credit or debit card. If you do not pay Klarna within the grace period, late fees may apply.
Neither Klarna nor Imperial Riding run credit searches against you that could impact your credit rating. Klarna may run a quotation search, which is an enquiry which only you, and no other companies, can see and which does not affect credit scoring.
After Imperial Riding has sent your order, you will receive an email with payment instructions, telling you when you need to pay by, it’s typically 14 or 30 days after the order is shipped.
Payment information is processed securely by Klarna. No card details are transferred to or held by Imperial Riding. All transactions take place via connections secured with the latest industry standard security protocols.
If you have received your goods and want to pay, either log in at www.klarna.com or click the link from the email Klarna sent you regarding this order.
4. Giropay
When you pay with Giropay, you do so in the safe online environment of your bank. Your personal bank details are therefore maximally protected. The giro transfer has already been pre-filled with all invoicing data from the online store. It does not get any easier!
By the way: for Giropay, but also for your banking affairs, the recognized high security and privacy standards of online banking are applied.
5. iDeal
iDEAL is a standard payment method for customers in the Netherlands. It makes secure online payments possible directly between bank accounts and is one of the most popular payment methods in the Netherlands. You will be redirected directly to the payment page of the bank in the online shop. In other words, this connection with iDEAL enables every Dutch visitor who has access to internet banking with a participating Dutch bank to process their payment in this way.
6. Bancontact
Bancontact is a very popular payment method on the Belgian market. If you do not have a Bancontact card, you may not know how this payment method works. The payment method of Bancontact is very similar to that of iDEAL in the Netherlands.
First choose Bancontact as the payment method. Then enter the card number of the Bancontact card that is linked to your payment account. At Bancontact this number always starts with 6703. You are now in the secure environment of your own bank and you can log in with your phone or card reader. Each bank has its own registration method. When the payment is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation of the successful payment from Bancontact and you will be automatically redirected to the webshop.
7. Sofortbanking
Sofortbanking is an easy-to-use bank transfer process, which is based on the high security standards of Internet banking and monitored regularly for data security by the TÜV (Technical Inspection Authority). You do not need to register to use this payment method, nor do you need a credit card. You can pay simply and securely with your Internet bank account. All you need is your login details for Internet banking (ID and PIN) and a TAN number to confirm the transfer. As soon as your order has been placed, a secure payment form from Sofortbanking will open so that you can make the bank transfer from your Internet bank account. Once you have checked the details and confirmed the transfer, the money will be transferred to our bank account. This will speed up the process of checking and dispatching order.
1. How do I make a purchase?
Shopping at Imperial Riding is easy, quick and 24 hours a day possible. First of all, all products can be viewed without obligations. Once you have found an item, you can register one-time only, or shop as a new customer. During your registration you can also enter your phone number so we can reach you when necessary.
As a registered customer you will be able to enjoy the following benefits:

2. Is there a minimum order value?
Yes, please note that we have a minimum order of EUR 10,- excluding shipping fees. Also in case of using a voucher the minimum order value remains EUR 10,- excluding shipping fees.
3. Do I have to register to order at the Imperial Riding online shop?
No, you can place an order as a guest or decide to create a registered account.
4. How do I know if my order was placed?
Once your order has been completed you will see the confirmation on the screen. You will also receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail please contact our customer service via online@imperialriding.com. As soon as your order is dispatched from our warehouse, you will be sent an email to confirm that it is on its way. The email will include a tracking number, so that you can track the status of your order.
5. I did not receive an order confirmation e-mail, what can I do?
If you did not receive a confirmation e-mail, please contact us via online@imperialriding.com or our contact form. Please mention the shipping address you provided during your order.
Tip: save the order confirmation or print it directly after ordering.
6. Can I cancel or change my order?
If you want to cancel your order please write an e-mail to online@imperialriding.com. We will try to fulfill your request. Please note that we cannot cancel or change orders once they have been transferred to our logistic partner.
7. What is “My Account” and how can I use this?
In “My Account” you can review your data details like delivery address, past orders and which products are listed on your Wish List. Data that belongs to your personal profile – like delivery address – can be changed here. For an optimal use of the Imperial Riding online shop you have to be registered for “My Account” and sign in. If you haven’t registered yet you can easily do this here.
If you are a registered customer you can easily login with your e-mail address and password. Click right on the top bar at the link “My Account”. A login bar will appear where you can enter your e-mail and password. Forgotten your password? You can reset your password here as well.
8. Why does the product I ordered look differently?
We do our very best to represent the Imperial Riding products offered here as truthful as possible. In some cases products may differ in color. This can be traced back to display settings or your monitor. You are welcome to return or exchange any products that do not meet your expectations.

As soon as we have shipped your order you will receive an email stating the DPD tracking number. You can check the status of your order after receiving the email via the link provided. After we have transferred your order to our shipping partner you will also receive an email with a package number.
Our shipping partners will try to deliver your package several times. If you are not at home during the first delivery you will get a notification to make an appointment for a second delivery. If the second delivery fails as well, the package will be sent back to our warehouse and we will refund your money if you already made a payment.

1. Can I return or exchange items?
Yes, you can return or exchange your items within 14 days of receiving your original order.
2. How do I return an item?
With our enclosed return sticker you will be able to return your items easily and quickly, but you are not obliged to use it. Use of this sticker does not affect your right of return. If you want to return an item, simply put it, if possible, in a box and either use the return sticker or wright the adress clearly on the used packaging. You can hand over your return to DPD, so you do not have to pay for your return. On the enclosed return form you can indicate the reason of return.
After we have received your return in our warehouse we will send you an e-mail with a receipt confirmation.
3. I have returned an item, when will I receive my money?
Your money is automatically refunded back via the payment method you used to make the purchase:
* Credit card:
If the payment was made using a debit or credit card, the money will be refunded to the bank account linked to the card.
* PayPal:
If the payment was made using PayPal, the value of your return will be refunded to your PayPal account.
* Direct ebanking:
If the payment was made using direct ebanking (iDEAL, Sofort, Giropay, Bancontact), the value of your return will be refunded directly to your bank account.
* Pay after delivery (Klarna):
If the payment has been done via Klarna, you will need to pay after 14 days. You can return the goods free of charge within these 14 days and then no payment via Klarna is required. If you have already paid the invoice and afterwards you have send back the goods, then the receipt of the goods must be confirmed before we can arrange the refund via Klarna.
You will receive an email confirmation when your return is received into our warehouse, and you should usually receive your refund within 48 hours of receiving this email.
Please note: After we have received your return it can take up to 10 days before your refund has been processed to your bank account. If you have any further questions regarding refunds, please contact our customer service by mail via online@imperialriding.com.
4. How about my right of withdrawal?
You are entitled to withdraw from the contract at hand within a period of two weeks without giving any reasons.
The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the date on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, has taken possession of the goods.
In order to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must contact us (Jan Willem de Lange, Oude Middenweg 75, 2491 AC The Hague, info@hvequestrian.com, phone: +31 (0)20 407 44 47) by means of a clear statement (e.g., a letter sent by mail, a fax or an e-mail) about your decision to withdraw from the contract at hand. For this purpose, you can use the attached withdrawal template, the use of which, however, is not mandatory.
In order to comply with the withdrawal period, it is sufficient for you to forward the notification of exercising your right of withdrawal before the expiry of the withdrawal period.
Consequences of withdrawal
In case you withdraw from the agreement at hand, we shall be obliged to refund all payments we received from you, including delivery charges (except for the additional costs arising from your choice of a delivery method that is not our offered most favourable standard delivery) immediately but no later than fourteen days from the date on which we received your notification of withdrawal. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the means of payment you used for the original transaction shall also be greed as the means of payment for such refund; you shall not be charged with fees for such repayment. We reserve the right to refuse any refund until you have either safely returned the goods or you have furnished us with proof that the goods were returned by you – whichever is the earlier.
You are obliged to return or hand over the goods to us or to Imperial Riding, Kolenbranderstraat 22, 2984 AT Ridderkerk, The Netherlands, without undue delay and, in any case, no later than fourteen days from the date on which you notified us of your withdrawal from the contract at hand. The deadline is met if you dispatch the goods before the deadline of fourteen days has expired. We shall bear the cost of returning the goods. You are only obliged to pay for a possible loss in value of the goods in cases, where a loss of value results from a handling that is not necessary for examining the condition, the characteristics and the functioning of the goods.
